Edit metadata

See — and rewrite — what your PDF says about you

Every PDF carries invisible metadata: author names, the software that created it, edit timestamps. Read it, fix it, or wipe it — entirely in your browser. Your file never uploads anywhere.

How it works

01

Metadata leaks are real

The BTK serial killer was identified in 2005 through metadata on a disk he mailed to police. Government dossiers have exposed hidden author names the same way.

02

Edit or wipe, consistently

PDFs store metadata twice — in the Info dictionary and an XMP stream. We rewrite the fields you change and drop the XMP copy, so stale values can't survive in a second place.

03

Zero upload

Reading and rewriting happens on your own device. Open your network panel and verify: no bytes ever leave the browser.
